arriving at sapphire beach resort, I thought I’d be treated like royalty, but alas, the internet was just as unreliable as my hopes. And, let's talk about the pools—there wasn't even the courtesy of staff to pamper me there! I almost gave a good review, but honestly, I just couldn’t deal with the lack of special treatment.

Here’s the good and the not-so-good
The staff made our stay special with fantastic service, and the couples massage on the beach was the icing on the cake! !
The long commute to town was frustrating, and we dealt with some bumps on the road, literally and figuratively.

A Relaxing Experience with Unique Amenities
I appreciate the rooftop pool view and the complimentary bikes that added fun to our explorations. The onsite restaurant surprised us with delicious, reasonably priced meals, especially the jerk chicken. For future guests, securing a golf cart is essential for venturing out. Overall, a pleasant escape.

We had an incredible group vacation! The adventures included snorkeling at Lighthouse Reef Atoll and fishing with a beach picnic. The staff was super attentive, making our stay memorable. The Gem restaurant offered delicious meals, and we loved using the free kayaks to explore nearby beaches.
However, getting to town was a bit of a hassle with the rough roads. We also faced some issues with hot water in our room, but the beautiful location made it worth the minor inconveniences.

I enjoyed the quiet surroundings at Sapphire Beach. The peacocks roaming the grounds were a fun touch. My room had beautiful views and came fully stocked with everything to cook meals, which was a plus. The three swimming pools were well cared for, but one was closed during my visit. I really appreciated the easy access to complimentary kayaks. they made exploring the nearby areas fun. The restaurant offered reasonably priced meals, and the jerk chicken was a standout dish I’d recommend. The staff was attentive, and they even helped with my grocery shopping needs. However, the journey from San Pedro was quite bumpy. the dirt road definitely needs improvements. I got bitten by mosquitoes, especially at dusk, despite trying to avoid the areas with standing water. The beach wasn't great for swimming because of the sargassum, which made the water look murky. It was disappointing to deal with these seaweed issues, but the staff worked hard to keep the beach area clean. I think travelers should definitely stock up on bug spray before arrival to get through those pesky bugs. Overall, I felt relaxed and had a good time, but keep in mind the transport challenges and mosquito situation when planning your stay.

Getting there is a slog. that six-mile stretch of dirt road is rough, especially if it rains—it makes for a bumpy ride. The beach is a letdown. while maintained, the shallow water's sargassum makes it uninviting for swimming. Be prepared for mosquitoes—there's no getting around them, given the nearby standing water, so pack the strongest bug spray you've got. Plus, the restaurant's menu can be misleading, particularly if you're expecting your package deals to be honored without fuss.
